Michel de Nostredame or Nostradamus as he is popularly called was born in France in 1503. His family was Jewish but converted to Christianity, and the young Michel was brought up as a Catholic. He was a chemist and a healer and around 1550, he developed an interest in the occult sciences and started writing almanacs. Nostradamus was often at odds with his instructors over the causes or effects of illness in patients. Nostradamus (1503-1566) predicted many events during his lifetime and foretold of many disasters, great fortunes, and world changing events that have and are still yet to pass.

Nostradamus prophecies:

Nostradamus published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide in the name of quatrains. Quatrains are stanzas and he wrote approximately 1000 quatrains. Nostradamus predictions of 2012:

Scholars of Nostradamus believe he has foreseen and predicted the third World War. Scholars think he drew pictures of the dark rift in the Milky Way galaxy. He concealed his predictions of 2012 in his pictures because in his time period visions of the future were not as easily accepted. Scholars say, Nostradamus had predicted the usage of a nuclear weapon in the World War 3.

Nostradamus predictions on future events:

Nostradamus predictions themselves are one thing, but can any of them actually be credited? Is there proof of any of his predictions taking place? Nostradamus’ fancy for anagrams and his fondness for sprinkling his verses with Hebrew, Latin, and Portuguese words further complicate interpretation of his predictions.

Some interpreters say the verses can be applied to anything, or nothing, whereas others claim that various verses foretold the Great Fire of London in 1666, the invention of the guillotine, the deaths of several monarchs, details of the French Revolution, the rise of Napoleon and Hitler, World War II, submarine warfare, military incursions by helicopters and supersonic bombers, twentieth century earthquakes, nuclear holocausts, Nostradamus prophecies don’t contain these quatrains. It is not the first time when Nostradamus’ prophecies were misused in order to manipulate public opinion.

Nostradamus prediction on his death:

He predicted his own death in his last almanac and passed away on July 1st, 1566, at 63 years of age.

Nostradamus predictions were based on Astrology:

Nostradamus predictions were said to be based on Astrology and planetary charts. Nostradamus was originally interested in medicine. From there, he moved on to an interest in the occult, which was a very common feature in his time (1503-1566). Many educated people were shown interested in the occult.

Are the Nostradamus predictions Biblical references:

It was a time of upheaval and questioning the Catholic Church of change. It was the time of Renaissance, and astrology was considered the best profession than medicine. It is against this background perhaps he had shown more interest in Astrology. He started writing an annual “almanac” with predictions. Many of these were historical or Biblical references and other sources.

His almanacs were spread and reached many people, including the nobility. He was used to offer horoscopes and psychic advice to the nobility and by this, he becomes popular. He then began his project of writing a book of one thousand mainly French quatrains, which constitute the largely undated prophecies for which he is most famous today.

Did Nostradamus predict the 09/11 disaster?

Two bodies, one head, fields divided in two,
And then to reply to four unheard ones:
Little ones for great ones, clear evel for them,
Lightning at the tower of Aiguesmortes, worse for “Eussouis”

The proponents of Nostradamus believe that the above quoted quatrain refers to 09/11 disaster and however my conclusion is that the above quatrain does not refer anything about 09/11 disaster.

Nostradamus predictions can be distorted:

Nostradamus predictions are very general and vague and therefore, thousands of interpretations are possible. His predictions can be distorted to mean whatever one wanted them to be.

All of his predictions are noticed or inferred after the event had happened, which led us to in escapable conclusion that the so called events already happened to be are mere imaginative interpretations by the people who believe them.
